Z scale Monon caboose

Shapeways sells o[not allowed]ects that have been printed on their 3D printer.  Their home page is

In searching through Stoney Smith's railroad models, I found a Z scale Monon caboose.

He also has some N scale stuff.  I put this message in N scale modeling since we don't have a folder for Z scale.

We've got a folder for Z scale Stew, it's just really, really small and hard to see.  LOL,  / Ron  ;D

I'm making some progress with my Z scale caboose. Photo is attached. It was translucent plastic when I got it.

I saw Stew's caboose at Salem this week, and it is a beautiful little thing, the key word of course being little.  It is nice though.  / Ron

The group I used to work in at Intel has a 3D printer they use to make prototypes of new pieces of thermal control HW for testing microprocessors. The group manager is a modeler and he had an accurate replica of the Portland, OR Union Depot created on the 3D printer, one wall at a time. It is drawn and replicated to HO scale and looks very nice.

I wish that I had a good photo of it, but I do not at this time.
