I read once (Hilton book, perhaps?) that John Barriger proposed to merge the Monon with the C&EI. Anyone know more details about this plan? Thanks.

I hadn't heard that Ken, but it kinda ended up that way didn't it? They both ended up merged with the L&N. / Ron
