This does look like 173rd Street in South Hammond, looking West. I was always scared to ride my bike across here for fear of being out in the middle of the yard when the bell would "gong" on the 173rd street crossing tower. (Having already been scared out of my wits by my Grandpa with stories of young boys sneaking around the yard at night and getting caught between cars when a cut came in.)
