I'd say General Motors was guilty of a little false advertising there. They infer the tractive effort to be 25% of engine weight, while the industry standards for first and second generation diesels was only 20% of engine weight. Interesting??

Baldwin-Lima Hamilton also used a 25% adhesion factor in their diesel locomotive publications.
