« on: October 24, 2012, 05:51:07 pm »
Is the Yahoo modeling group dead?  Where would I send a message to the guys in the group?
Thanks, Roger Nulton

Me, Chad or Tim Swan can forward one to them, but you must join the group on yahoo to send to that group.

I signed up and belonged to the Monon Project Group for a long time but I can't find any sign of it now.

Mike said he took it down when this board started up.

So sorry to hear that, Chad.  Thank you. Now I don't know where to direct my dumb modeling questions!  The group was a great resource.  I often accessed the group files for information.

Gene, thanks for your comment on the photo.

Roger, I'm certain modeling questions are welcome on this site.

Roger, Keep in mind that as a result of all the work Ron and Joe have done, there is no more complete source of Monon prototype photos than what is available here.

Steve,
My intention was not to diminish the efforts of Ron and Joe.  It's just that Mike A. had both model and prototype photos organized by specific project in the Monon Project Group site, and I planned to work on some of those projects using the group's collective experience and photos as guidance.

Guys, where on this Board would I best direct a modeling question, that is, which topic?  And Steve, you indicate there is a source for Monon prototype photos here.  Where would I find them?  I'm still learning how to navigate this Board.

Thanks,  Roger

Roger,

The new MononBoard has a section set aside specifically for modeling su[not allowed]ects by scale. So questions or discussion items should be posted in those sections. Due to the relative youth of this new Monon discussion site there is not yet  an extensive "bank" of prototype or modeling photos. However, if you are looking for photo or other information about a specific Monon su[not allowed]ect, there is a good chance that someone on this list can probably help. Unfortunately, the information stored on the old IU Monon Lists has been lost and apparently the Monon Project archives are also no longer available. Having said that, this new Monon Board has the potential of serving us better than any of the previous lists did. We just need to give it the opportunity.
